Congratulations to Prosecutors Erica Robinson (pictured) and Marc Gault (from Huntsville) for a Jury Trial finding of CIVIL COMMITMENT in the 208th District Court – Cause Number 0579726 (presiding judge Greg Glass)
The Defendant was sentenced to 30 years in Prison in 1991 for the offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and came up for parole. Instead of walking the streets, the jury found beyond a reasonable doubt in a civil proceeding that the defendant constitutes a danger to society as a sexual predator and he was committed to a in-patient facility indefinitely. (Re-Evaluation every 2 years)
The following cases are felony – including RIC (links and PC issues) – and all trial setting dismissals derived from the Harris County District Clerk’s website – dockets tab. I examine each dismissal form before posting, post only those defendants who are free of charges (exceptions apply) and for which I have an attorney photo. These and non-photo cases are entered into the Defense Attorney spreadsheet published on Saturdays. Felony and misdemeanor dismissals are published in the spreadsheets below

I thought I would add some color to this post. Amazingly, this painting was done by a 6-YEAR-OLD girl named Anni Liris Stayton – yes – that is Assistant District Attorney Pat Stayton’s daughter. She did the acrylic painting during summer camp in Finland. Very impressive! She is giving Assistant District Attorney and artist Gilbert Sawtelle a run for his money! (Source: Pat’s Facebook page)
