Do we have an obligation to inform fraud perpetrated on a court?
Yes. The applicable disciplinary rule is 8.03:
(a) Except as permitted in paragraphs (c) or (d), a lawyer having knowledge that another lawyer has committed a violation of applicable rules of professional conduct that raises a substantial question as to that lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects, shall inform the appropriate disciplinary authority.

“HOUSTON – The Harris County District Attorney’s Office reassigned an assistant district attorney after he allegedly refused to file charges in a case because the victim was “illegal.”
The announcement followed a statement released by the Houston Police Officer’s Union demanding that the DA’s office fire that prosecutor.”
