Jury Trial Season On Hold (March 16th – December 1st)

  • Some Select Cases with special permission from the local and regional administrative judges have been and will be granted permission to proceed with jury selection at NRG prior to December 1st.

[su_divider top=”no” divider_color=”#130f0f” size=”2″]

Current Plan: Trial jurors will be congregated at NRG Arena on or near December 1, 2020 and jury selection will take place at NRG. Parking will be free for all participants (lawyers, jurors, clerks). Once the jury is selected the trial itself will be held the next working day at the criminal courthouse. Criminal jury trials will take precedence over civil jury trials. They will have pre-screening at the NRG door and masks will be mandatory.

[su_frame][/su_frame]

Thanks to Court Reporter Tiffani June-Yeates of County Criminal Court at Law Number 2 we have an inside look at the NRG Arena where jury selection will commence very soon. She took a series of 11 short videos that were combined into a 6-minute video to give you an idea of the new experience the judges, lawyers, defendants, jurors, bailiffs, court reporters and other court personnel will encounter. Thank you for sharing, Tiffani!!
